PERMANENT MAKEUP FAQ

What can I expect at my first appointment?

You will receive a confirmation email upon scheduling which contains pre-care information. At your appointment I will apply a topical lidocaine to numb your eyebrows. This will sit on your skin while we we will discuss shape, size, color, etc. Once I remove the numbing cream, I will take before photos of your eyebrows. Then, I will begin to map out and shape your eyebrows. I will show you the shape and color I recommend for you and welcome any feedback you may have. This is 100% your decision. I will not begin the service until I know that we both agree to shape and color. At the end of the treatment we will go over aftercare, take after photos, schedule your touch up, and collect the balance owed.

Does Permanent makeup hurt?
Pain tolerance varies from person to person. A topical numbing cream is used prior to and during the treatment to minimize discomfort. These topicals contain 5% lidocaine and epinephrine. Most clients feel no pain, while some experience a small amount of discomfort. We take every precaution necessary to ensure your treatment is as pain-free as possible. Having permanent makeup done during your menstrual cycle may cause more sensitivity.

How long are the appointments?
An appointment lasts 2 to 3 hours, depending on the service and technique we decide to do. A touch up appointment lasts anywhere from 2-2.5 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs touching up. You will receive a confirmation email upon scheduling with details on time and preparation.

How long does Permanent makeup last?
Microblading/Combo/Powder Brow results are very individual and vary from one person to another, everyone’s results last a different amount of time. A color refresh (touch up) for eyebrows is recommended on average from 1.5-3 years after your last treatment.

How long PMU lasts depends on the individual and following factors: Skin type, lifestyle, aftercare, age, metabolism, amount of sun exposure, medication being taken, immune system, environment.

Can Permanent makeup cover up scars?
In most cases, yes it can (unless it’s a keloid). If you have any questions, please schedule a consultation or email a clear photo of the area to be treated so we can review and let you know if you’re a good candidate. Email Breanna at APerfect10Studio@yahoo.com

What if I’m previously tattooed/Microbladed? Can you touch up?
Here are our main concerns with working on previously tattooed eyebrows:

  • We will not be able to undo what’s already been done prior to our work

  • I will do my best to re-work the shape, correct the color however, I will have to stay within the previous work/current shape. My creative ability will be limited.

  • Pigment aborbtion may be compromised due to the scar tissue associated with previous tattoo/microblading or tattoo removal.

  • Due to previous work, results can NOT be guaranteed.

  • Previously tattooed/microbladed eyebrows must be at least 80% faded or barely visible.

You must email a photo for approval prior to scheduling a treatment. Please make sure to send good quality pictures from different angles taken in natural lighting and without eyebrow makeup so we can review and let you know if we can work with your previous tattoo. Please don’t use indoor lights or flash as this will change the color of your permanent make up.

  • Do NOT book as a touch up. You will need to book an appointment as a new client for eyebrows

When should I get a touch up? How much is it?
Touch up pricing ranges depending on when you return. A color refresh (touch up) for eyebrows is recommended on average from 1.5-3 years after your last treatment. We typically recommend returning for a touch up when your eyebrows are approximately 50% faded. Please visit “Book Appointment” tab for details + exact pricing.
